Sunday 25-05 - The Breifing

We waited around in the hotel for a while for the bus to pick us up for the new, better, topdeck hotel. Looking around, I tried to spot who might be accompanying us on the bus. I asked a few people, but they were about to leave Cairo. At about lunch we got on the bus with another 4 people. The Swiss Hotel was much nicer than the Indiana. We were given cold hibiscus tea on arrival, which tastes like raspberry cordial.

Then Josh and I knocked on the door across from us,which belonged to 2 of our fellow busers, Mel and Una. We left the hotel in search of food. After a long walk all we found was crazy drivers, herds of goats, Shisha pipes, garbage and hot hot sun. So we retreated to the pseudo-Italian hotel restaurant.

Later that night we met our group leader for the briefing. We met our fellow group members and were told about the program. The group consists of Australians, New Zealanders, Brits and Canadians. They all seemed really nice. Rafik the leader then told us not to eat salad or pasta as they have lots of water in them. Ooops from lunch, we had pasta.

Then to bed
