In Bologna the attraction is the night life, not much to do during the day. We did what touring there was though. In the main piazza was a fountain with a large statue of Neptune.
It also had some bizarre mermaids.
We sat for a really tasty chicken and cheese sandwich.
After that there wasn't much to see, so we set off to get house keeping done. First trip was the post office. It was an interesting experience. No one there spoke any English. We communicated all through hand gestures and words that were similar in both languages. we needed to send a big package, since we left sending mail so late and things had built up. It ended up being about the same price to express, so we did that instead. I sent back my Arcade fire shirt and eastern Europe book, since I wasn´t going to need it anymore.
Then we found an internet cafe to get caught up on our photos and blogs. We planned on a short visit, but we had been without internet since Naples and things had built up quite badly. By the time we were done it was just about time for dinner. We found a place to have some traditional meat sauce. We started off with bruschetta. They were lots of small baguette piece, oily and good.
Then the Bolognese bolognase. It was good, but nothing spectacular. then again, I don't know of you could have a spectacular meat sauce. I enjoyed it, which I guess is enough.
We walked around for a bit, but didn't end up going into any bars. I was strangely wiped out from all the things we did during the day. I was glad when Josh said he was still not feeling too well and could we not have a late night.
We walked down to a bus stop to make our way home.
